Christmas Flower Gift Ideas in Singapore: Who to Send What

by Summers & Winters on Oct 23, 2026

Christmas flower gifts: white rose crystal ball, heart of 52 red roses with a Merry Christmas topper, and a fresh mini Christmas tree

The short answer: send fresh red roses to the person you will see on Christmas Eve. Send a fresh mini Christmas tree to whoever hosts Christmas dinner. Send preserved or soap flowers to colleagues and friends you see earlier in December, because they need no water and do not fade while they wait.

A common December question is “Who should get what?” Below is how we would match the people on most Christmas lists, using what we actually make in our studio. Everything here is in our Christmas flowers and gifts collection.

Quick guide: Christmas flower gifts by person

Who What to send Why it works
Partner Snowy Red Roses or 52 Red Roses Red and white for the season, delivered on Christmas Eve
Parents and in-laws A fresh mini Christmas tree or a preserved flower vase A table centrepiece, or a gift that needs no care
Colleagues and your boss A preserved crystal ball or a soap flower box Boxed and desk-sized, so it can wait for the office party
Christmas party host A fresh mini tree or a red soap rose box Arrives ready to stand on the table
Friends and Secret Santa A crystal ball or a soap flower box Under $100 and keeps for months

For your partner: red roses, timed for the day

Red roses are still the Christmas gift for a partner, and the timing matters more than the size. In Singapore's heat, fresh roses look their best in the first few days, so have them delivered on Christmas Eve rather than a week before. For Christmas Day, WhatsApp us on 8298 6001 to check first. We send them a little closed on purpose, so they open over the next few days instead of fading.

As pictured, Snowy Red Roses mixes deep red roses with white fillers, cotton and pine cones, so it reads as Christmas without a single bauble. For a bigger gesture, 52 Red Roses is pictured as a heart with a “Merry Christmas” topper. In Chinese gifting, 52 sounds like “my love”. Our guide to rose number meanings covers the other counts.

If your partner would rather keep something, a white rose crystal ball holds preserved white roses under a clear dome and lasts well past New Year.

For parents and in-laws: something for the dinner table

If they host Christmas dinner, a fresh mini Christmas tree is the gift the whole family sees. It is real Nobilis fir, handcrafted in our studio, from 35 to 65cm tall, so it fits on a dining or side table. Decorations with lights, pine cones and berries are an option for $35. Trees are pre-order only: order by 30 November for 15% off, and choose a delivery date from 15 to 24 December.

For parents who do not want to water anything, a preserved flower vase stays as it is for months. It suits a cabinet or shelf that gets no direct sun.

For colleagues and your boss: gifts that can wait

Office gifts are usually handed out before Christmas week, at a team lunch or the last day before leave. That is a few days too early for fresh flowers. A preserved crystal ball or a soap flower box arrives boxed, sits on a desk without water, and looks the same when it goes home.

For office deliveries, check that someone at reception can receive it: deliveries arrive between 12pm and 6pm, and our courier can wait up to 5 minutes. Many offices empty out on Christmas Eve, so aim for earlier in the week.

For the Christmas party host

Bring something the host does not have to deal with in the middle of the party. A fresh bouquet means finding a vase while guests arrive. A mini tree or a soap rose box goes straight onto the table. With its red soap roses and pine cones, the Pearl Soap Box already looks like Christmas.

For friends and Secret Santa: under $100

Several crystal balls and soap flower boxes in our Christmas range are under $100, including the White Rose Crystal Ball, the Blue Preserved Rose Crystal Ball and the Pearl Soap Box. They keep for months, which suits a Secret Santa where you do not know when the gift will be opened. See the full range of preserved crystal balls and soap flowers.

For someone in hospital over Christmas

Ward rules come first. Some wards, including ICUs, do not allow flowers, so check with the ward before you order. Give us the ward number and the patient's name with your order. Our delivery page has the details.

Christmas card message ideas

Card messages are printed, so keep them short enough to read at a glance:

  • “Merry Christmas. Thank you for a wonderful year together.”
  • “Mum and Dad, thank you for hosting us again. Merry Christmas.”
  • “To the best team: thank you for this year. Have a restful Christmas.”
  • “For the host: thank you for having us. Merry Christmas.”
  • “Wishing you a calm, cosy Christmas and a bright New Year.”
  • “Thinking of you this Christmas. Get well soon.”

When to order Christmas flower gifts

  • Early to mid December: preserved and soap gifts for colleagues and early visits.
